To be honest it would be quicker to tell you who doesn’t. From hotels, nightclubs and high-end restaurants to catering companies, golf courses, stadiums, and local pubs our graduates serve the drinks. Wherever there is a bar you will be qualified to work there.

We aren’t guaranteeing that you will graduate from Metropolitan and the next day land the top job in your ideal establishment. Getting to the top of any career requires hard work and commitment. What we promise is that we can teach you the skills and help you earn the qualifications that can set you on the right path.

To be fair – you will not walk out of our school and right into the top job at the top restaurant or nightclub downtown. While there are thousands of places you will be qualified to work, the top top places are going to require the certificate and a couple years experience. But if thats the career you want, we can help you get there.

How easy is it to find a Bartending job?

While plenty of places employ bartenders it can be difficult to stand out from the competition. That’s why here at Metropolitan we support you every step of the way.

    • Our Bartending Certification Course dedicates an entire class to just creating a stand out bartenders resume. This help and support can make all the difference once you start applying for jobs as resume expectations in the hospitality industry differ greatly to more conventional industries.
    • Building on this we also devote a class to job hunting. Looking for work in the hospitality industry is different to other occupations. We coach you so that you know how to present yourself correctly, in the right place, at the right time and to the right person. Mastering these basic points will, along with your stand out resume, greatly increase your employability.

Furthermore Metropolitan’s support doesn’t end once you graduate.

  • Upon completing the course you get access to our private job board. Dedicated to bartending jobs this is updated on a weekly basis and means that you don’t waste your time searching through job sites.
  • We also offer 1 on 1 resume and job coaching appointments. This is a 30 minute, private meeting with your instructor during which we work through your resume editing and enhancing it to help you stand out from the competition. You will also be able to pick up tips on applying for jobs as well as interview strategies and techniques.

Remember that everybody is different. While one Metropolitan graduate can applmay only have to apply to 1 or 2 places before finding a job another graduate may have to apply to 6 or 7 places before they find something.

While finding a job can take some time if you apply to 10 establishments without success then please contact us. We are more than happy to help you and discuss your efforts. It might be just a small error that you are making and with a little bit of coaching we will be able to easily rectify it.
